Umpires

Umpires

Gosford Netball Association (GNA) is committed to the development of umpires of all abilities. Clubs are responsible for providing umpires for each team that is participating in the competition and games are then allocated by the Association.

GNA has a range of programs available to members just starting with a whistle, through to those that wish to pursue a career in umpiring onto Netball NSW. A successful program since 2012 is the Representative Umpires Program, which provides access to expert coaching and quality games to develop their skills and progress through the GNA awards system onto the Netball Australia Pathways.

Umpiring might sometimes be challenging but is most often rewarding as a good umpire allows players to showcase their skills that they have worked hard to develop.

Support is always provided to new umpires. If you are interested in umpiring and any of the programs that GNA has available please contact your club convenor or if you are not with a club please send an email to This email address is being protected from spambots. If you are an umpire at GNA please join the GNA Umpires Facebook group so you can stay in touch with what’s new and opportunities to develop your skills.
