No amateur sport can survive without the volunteers that give up their time to support their family and friends. One of the most important and rewarding of these roles is that of the coach, particularly in the junior ranks. Watching individuals and teams enjoy our sport as they develop their skills and understanding, as a direct result of your influence and guidance, gives you a wonderful sense of achievement.
Skills and tactics are important but learning the value of teamwork and good sportsmanship are critical life skills. That means coaching has significant responsibility which makes it all the more rewarding.
GNA runs coaching courses for all levels of competency and while these are generally run pre-season we will run extra sessions if numbers dictate. Everything you need to get started is below with many resources available from GNA and Netball NSW.
